This feast, although not as impressive as Easter, is nevertheless an excellent time to prepare ourselves, not just for the Amerisaurus Rex USA Flag Independence Day 4th Of July T Shirt of Our Saviour into the world, the first time, but we are to prepare for His Second Coming, which will arrive as unfailingly as the first one did. So we prepare for that dread event NOW, by, above all, going to confession weekly. If you do not already do this, now is an excellent time to start, This coming Sunday – 1 December- is the start of a new year! So begin this week to prepare for the coming of our Saviour!
Many of the Amerisaurus Rex USA Flag Independence Day 4th Of July T Shirt Christmas customs were inherited from older Winter Solstice celebrations—including greenery indoors, feasting and gift-giving. It seems quite likely that the celebration of the birth of Jesus was scheduled at that time in order to piggy-back on existing holiday observances. Halloween is very directly descended from the old Celtic feast of Samhain, when the dead return to visit the living. Modern Pagans observe this and Beltane (May Day) as their major holidays, the Feast of the Dead and the Feast of the Living on opposite sides of the Wheel of the Year. Easter’s Pagan connections are suggested by its English name, Eostara being a Pagan Germanic Goddess associated with the Spring Equinox. The bunnies and eggs probably go back to Pagan times as well.

First let me answer to the meat of your question. Christmas ( The Mass 0f Christ ) has become secular because many felt that the Amerisaurus Rex USA Flag Independence Day 4th Of July T Shirt tone of the Holiday ( Holy Day ) was strong and therefore was ‘not inclusive’ enough. They felt it left out too many people that are not believers or at least not firm believers. There is logic in that line of thinking. I am a Christian…but I certainly have no problem with those that prefer the “Holiday season” to “Christmas”. That is their right. I enjoy this particular time of year regardless of which portion of it my friends are celebrating. Hanukkah, Saturnalia, Winter Solstice, Yule…whatever. Have a Happy one. If I happen to wish you a Merry Christmas do not hold it against me. Tell me “Lo, Saturnalia”…and I will thank you and wish you the same. By the way if you hear Dutch or a few other Europeans pronounce “Saint Nicholas” the way they do it sounds like Sant NikLAUS…which sounds pretty much exactly like Santa Claus. And Saint Nicholas was known for presenting gifts on a certain day too…so to say that Santa Claus has nothing to do with it is not exactly right. I forget the exact details of the story, but an artist in the early 1900’s came up with the current version of Santa for Coca Cola marketing purposes. He was described much earlier in a poem in the 1800’s in a way similar to that..but the gift giving theme at Christmas time was always associated with him so though more secular, the message is still there for those that wish to associate it and can be ignored by those that are uncomfortable with it.
This is a fun question. For about 35 years now I’ve hosted a Christmas party for about 30 friends. The ‘price’ to get in is a homemade ornament. You would not believe what my friends have come up with. I have numerous boxes of Amerisaurus Rex USA Flag Independence Day 4th Of July T Shirt . About 8 years ago, I told them to not bring anything. But last week, party weekend, about 15 still brought one. They all said that they just loved doing it and it put them in a party, Christmas mood. So the last 8 years I had to come up an idea for the tree. Some of my best were: going through printed pictures of my friends, had some of their pets- most now gone. Vacation pics with one or more in it, and just neat / interesting landmarks etc. took over 100 to Walgreens . For a dime/picture, the copied them onto print stock. I refilled the originals and then cut out the the thing in pic I liked. Bought a stack of manila folders and a bottle of Elmer’s glue, both cheap. Opened the folders and laid them flat on my dining table that had a sheet on it, arranged all the cut-outs on the open folders to get as many as possible on each one put glue on the back of the image, pressed it onto the folder. A couple hours later, cut the pics out of the folder Now the pics were very sturdy. On the back, more glue and a metal ornament hanger. (Like 200 for $ 1) guests had a great time retelling old stories associated with the memories the photos inspired. Hope you like my ideas.
